The Arc facts, plainly: The Browser Company halted active development in May 2025 to build Dia, and as of this writing Arc remains downloadable, runs Chrome extensions and receives Chromium security patches, with no announced end-of-life. Passwords, bookmarks and history import during onboarding, so trying the swap costs an afternoon of setup rather than a subscription.
