Where does the from address come from?

The domain list, and a companion reads it before composing anything.

Resend rejects sends from unverified domains, so the first useful thing this integration does is turn "I think it is hello@ our main domain" into a checked fact.

The send takes a from address, one or more recipients, a subject, and an HTML or plain-text body. That is what it carries. A message that needs a PDF attached, a cc or a reply-to pointing at support goes through the dashboard or your own code.

Can a companion schedule an email for Tuesday morning?

Yes.

The schedule tool takes an ISO timestamp and hands delivery to Resend, so the send happens on their infrastructure whether or not your laptop is open. For an announcement that should land at 9 a.m. in a timezone you will be asleep in, that is the right shape.

Nothing in this integration cancels or edits a scheduled send afterwards. Once it is queued, calling it back happens in the Resend dashboard, so approve a scheduled send with the same seriousness you would approve an immediate one.

The work sits either side of the send

A companion reads the signups in your dashboard, drafts the announcement in your voice, checks the copy against the changelog, and stages the send with the verified from address already filled in. Same operations pattern as anywhere else, with the email API as the last step, and the first run is covered in getting started.

The recipient field accepts a list, which is one message with several people on it. Forty beta users who each need their own name in the subject line is forty separate sends, one call each, at a pace that is its own brake.

Choose the setting before the first send

Ask Always, in Settings → AI permissions, makes every call pause until you click.

Worth choosing here, because the Resend send is not on the browser's standing list of actions that always stop for an approval card. A companion shows you the draft and asks, because that is how the tool is described to it, and Ask Always turns the convention into a guarantee.
