Why is being logged in so hard to fake?
Being logged in is rarely one secret you could copy across.
It is session cookies, refresh tokens, single sign-on grants, passkeys bound to your device, MFA that pages your phone, plus a network address and browser fingerprint that sites have learned to trust.
None of that travels to a datacenter VM. A cloud agent can be handed one credential at a time, per task, per service, and each handover is friction for you and standing risk on a machine you do not administer.
Which tools can genuinely act as you today?
The ones that live where your sessions live: local agentic browsers. Strawberry is one, Comet qualifies, open-source extensions such as Nanobrowser run in your own Chrome, and frameworks such as Browser Use can attach to a session-bearing browser a developer operates. Cloud task agents like Manus and ChatGPT agent mode wake up in a datacenter knowing nothing about you.
Approve it before it sends
Timing. Approval comes before the action rather than review after it. A companion working your session pauses on a card whenever an action is consequential (a send, a delete, a payment, a post), showing exactly what is about to happen, and Ask Always mode in Settings → AI permissions makes every action wait.
