Formstack Strawberry

Forty submissions read, classified and routed by lunch

Each one placed in the right tool with the fields copied across and a reply drafted for you to send. Plus the counts and completion rates, which need no personal data at all.

A submission arrives, somebody reads it, decides which team it belongs to, copies three fields into another system and replies. Forty times a week that is a person’s afternoon, and it is the same three decisions every time.

A companion reads the submission through an account you connect, classifies it, puts the fields where they belong in your signed-in tools and drafts the reply. It does the fortieth as carefully as the first.

What should you decide before connecting?

Which forms matter and whether submission content needs to be readable at all.

A great deal of the useful work needs only counts and metadata: how many submissions this week, which forms dropped, which have a required field people keep abandoning.

If submission content does need reading, treat the connection the way you treat any system holding personal data. Check that your privacy notice and processing records cover it, keep the actions at Ask every time, and scope to specific forms. The credential is stored encrypted and Strawberry never receives it; the security page covers the rest.

Which Formstack work is genuinely tedious?

Routing.

Read the submission, decide which team it belongs to, copy three fields into another system, reply. Forty a week is an afternoon.

A companion reads it, classifies it, puts the relevant fields where they belong in your signed-in tools and drafts the reply for you to send. That is form-driven operations in reverse, and for an inbound flow it looks like qualifying inbound leads. Keep a person on the send when the reply contains anything personal.

  • Submission counts and completion rates: useful, and no personal data read required.
  • Abandoned-field analysis, which is the highest-value form optimisation there is.
  • Content reads: personal data, so scope to specific forms and keep approvals on.
  • Deleting submissions is a records decision rather than a tidying decision.

What the connection makes visible

Retention, first.

Formstack holds submissions indefinitely if nobody says otherwise, and a companion listing four years of entries puts the size of that in front of whoever owns your data map. The lawfulness decision stays with them; the inventory is the part that never gets made.

Form building stays in the builder, where field logic, conditional pages, payment fields and theming have a live preview beside them. The Available tools list on the app’s detail page under `strawberry://settings/integrations` confirms exactly what your connection reaches.
