Get the just-raised list every Monday morning
A companion reads the newest funding rounds, resolves each name to the right record, pulls the full profile, and checks it against the company’s own site before it reaches your list.
Monday morning, and the question is the same as every Monday: who raised in our space in the last ten days, and which of them should hear from us this week. By hand that is thirty tabs and a lost morning.
A companion reads the funding stream newest first, filters it against your criteria, and pulls founders, headcount, funding history, headquarters and categories for each survivor. Crunchbase is a native integration, connected with an API key.
| Question | Crunchbase alone | Companion with Crunchbase |
|---|---|---|
| Who raised a round this week? | Exactly what the recent-funding data is for | Same data, filtered against your criteria with reasons |
| How big is this company really? | Headcount as last recorded | That figure, checked against their careers page today |
| Do we know anyone here? | Job history on the person profile | That history, cross-read with your own signed-in accounts |
| Build a list of 5,000 accounts | Search and export, on a plan that includes it | Reads the ones that match and says why each made it |
Who raised in the last ten days
The recent funding tool returns rounds newest first.
A companion filters that stream against your criteria, pulls the full profile for each survivor, and returns a short table: company, round, size, headcount, what they do in one line, and why it made the cut.
The ones that did not make the cut are listed too, with the reason on each, so you can audit the list instead of re-checking it by hand.
Why resolve the name before reading the profile?
Because company names are not unique, and a guessed identifier briefs your sales team on the wrong business. A companion turns the name into the one specific Crunchbase record first, then reads the profile.
It follows that order every time, and when the resolution is ambiguous it says so rather than taking the first match.
Who here have we crossed paths with?
The person profile carries job history, education, investments and public profiles.
A companion walks the founder and executive list of a target account and maps it against your own history and network.
For investors it works the other way round: reading somebody’s investment record before the meeting rather than during it. That is research doing the pre-call work, feeding the sales prospecting list you were building anyway.
Check the record against the company’s site today
A round announced on Tuesday may not appear until Thursday.
A company that doubled its engineering team looks the size it was in January. A pivot shows up on the homepage months before it shows up in a category tag.
So the companion reads the profile, then opens the company’s own site, their careers page and their announcements, and reports where the two disagree. Every row says what the database holds and what the web says today.
